Mate:

Let me start with this place. Like I said earlier, this is a dream. My dream, actually.
You're in my dream.

Jasz:

Right, ok, I get it. You guys told me a dozen times, ok?
Wait.
So I'm in your head?

Mate:

No, no. Dreams aren't in your head. You go somewhere else.

Jasz:

But dreams are thoughts, aren't they?

Mate:

Well, the thing is, dreams are made of thoughts, but they aren't just thoughts. There's something else holding it all together. That's why you can manipulate things by thinking logically about it. Dream Logic.

Jasz:

Ok....?

Mate:

Ok. So, that door up there that you came in from, that's how you get from Phantasmagoria into my dream instance. There's--

Jasz:

PHANTASMAGORIA!! That! The guy-- that Silver guy with the bird junk, he said something about that. Wha-- Ha-- W--

Mate:

Slow down! Don't get excited! That's another thing. And actually, now that I think about it, probably why he lobbed those keys at you--

Jasz:

It's because he's a freakin' jerk, that's why.

Mate:

--like I was saying...
You can't really be yourself here where you can control everything. Don't let your emotions and thoughts get out of hand, or you'll ruin the dream. Everyone calls it Bedlamization.

Anyway, as soon as we can get out of here, we can go back to being ourselves. Dreams are very unstable because they're impacted by thoughts pretty easily. Phantasmagoria is waaaaaay more stable because Mr. Muse oversees everything.

Just, whatever you do, please please pleeeease don't Bedlamize the dream while I'm still in it.
